Couperose hydrolat

Can rosacea be treated with hydrosols?

The main symptoms of couperose (or rosacea) are the appearance of facial redness, with small red bumps and small visible blood vessels.

Rosacea

Factors that promote rosacea are:

  • A genetic cause (light skin, light eyes);
  • An environmental cause;
  • An abnormal reaction of micro-blood vessels to heat;
  • The excessive presence of a mite on the skin of the face, Demodex .

The molecule Terpinene-4-OL, present in mass in Tea-Tree hydrosol (84.92%) is reputed to be the most powerful active agent against the DEMODEX mite, according to the "US National Library of Medicine". Read the medical publication: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3860352/

How to use Tea Tree hydrosol in the treatment of rosacea?

In the morning and evening, simply spray the Tea-tree hydrosol on the red area and dab gently with a dry cloth. If you cannot spray it, it can be applied with a clean cloth soaked in Tea-tree hydrosol .

Then, to finish the treatment, apply Immortelle hydrosol in the same way as Tea-tre to reduce venous stasis in rosacea. This Immortelle hydrosol can be strengthened by adding 50% Cypress hydrosol.

Cypress hydrosol strengthens the elasticity of the venous wall and reduces redness of dilated vessels.
